Features

portable_firefox_small.pngMozilla Firefox is a fast, full-featured web browser that's easy to use. It has lots of great features including popup-blocking, tabbed-browsing, integrated search, improved privacy features, automatic updating and more. Plus, thanks to the PortableApps.com launcher bundled in the Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition, it leaves no personal information behind on the machine you run it on, so you can take your favorite browser along with all your favorite bookmarks and extensions with you wherever you go. New in This Release

In this release, Firefox has been updated to 3.0.6 (release notes) and has an improved launcher.

Reminder: Don't Auto-Update

We also wanted to remind everyone not to use the built in auto-updater with Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition due to an unfixed bug in the updater itself. As with all software in PortableApps.com Format, you can do an in-place upgrade (install the new version right over the old one) and all your data will be preserved. More here: Upgrading Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition and Bug 406335.

PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format

Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Suite including the Menu and Backup Utility.

Download

Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition is available for immediate download from the Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition homepage. You can get the German release from the German homepage and the French, Italian, Japanese and Simplified Chinese releases from the Localization page. Get it today!

Cho mình hỏi mấy cái soft portable sao lại nhẹ nhưng có công dụng bằng với soft full? Cũng cùng soft đó như mà bản full nó chiếm mấy chục MB còn bản portable chỉ chiếm có 1 - 3 MB

for the work on this..;)

Hello, can someone please help me.

I've updated my portable firefox with the latest (3.06) but I'm getting some weird random redirect when I search with google.

The google search result page will load but sometimes (maybe once in about 5 searches) I would get redirected to a different but random search engine website. Sometimes, when I click on a link in the google search result page, I would get redirected to a completely different website than the link I clicked on.

Symptoms almost like a virus, but scanning my computer shows that I'm clean. I run the firefox in safe mode with all the extensions turned off, and I still get the redirect. I re-downloaded and installed again the v3.06 but no change. still getting redirected.

any idea how I can fix this?
thank you

Never mind but thank you. I think I got it fixed.

I installed FFx extension FEBE and backed up everyting of my corrupt ffx. then I did a clean install of the new portable firefox elsewhere and installed FEBE and MR TECH TOOL KIT (this extension can negate all the extension compatibility issue with using ffx 2 extensions). I reinstalled all the extensions piece meal from the backup created by FEBE then restored everyting else using FEBE restore. Then I copied some files and folders from my old ffx profile dir to the new ffx so that the menu layout and all the settings are like it was before.

I'm not sure if this was a virus or just a corrupt firefox but it seems like the redirect problem went away.

thank again

I don't know if I should post this here or not...

First of all, thanks for this wonderful app! However, I had 3.0.5 already installed on my flash drive with a few add-ons (which I could list if needed) but when I updated to 3.0.6 (not through the auto-updater but by reinstalling it from this website) half of them remained intact while the other half do not work.

All the add-ons near the url bar area have disappeared. I tried reinstalling some of the add-ons, but they don't stay there when Firefox is restarted (one of the add-ons being stumble upon). All the status bar icons remained intact though...

I'll probably just end up deleting the whole folder and reinstalling it (each little add-on on it's own again...) just thought I'd mention it though...

Thanks!
