MyPaint is a nimble, distraction-free, and easy tool for digital painters. It supports graphics tablets made by Wacom, and many similar devices. Its brush engine is versatile and configurable, and it provides useful, productive tools. The standard brushes can emulate traditional media like charcoal, pencils, ink, or paint. But you don’t have to limit yourself to just the standard ones. It’s easy to make expressive, artful new brushes that don’t respond like anything conventional. Learn more about the MyPaint...

PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format

MyPaint Portable is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Platform including the Menu and Backup Utility.

Thanks for your work on this Ken. I added some updates to the portablization including portablization of scraps in LOCALAPPDATA so that the paths continue working across PCs.

Thanks for the release John.

I had forgotten about my dev test of MyPaint and hadn't even been looking for when they were updating. Great to see they have fixed their Windows build issues, and also great to see it released here.

One tiny issue most people will never see, the alt text on the download button on the app page says "LazPaint Portable".

You're welcome. I happened to see that 1.2 was out and it seemed stable in my testing, hence the update. Also, please check out the custom code to see how it works as well.

I fixed the alt text, thanks for the heads up.

If anyone has a better example painting we can use for a screenshot, please let me know. We'd need to have the right to reproduce it, of course.

I am selling prints of my lovely example drawing as well if anyone is interested. Smile
