It's really amazing how you're able to keep up with all those software updates. However you do it, keep it up!

Leaves nothing.
Thanks for the fast update.

thanks for thunderbird portable!!! Exactly what I always wanted.
I have no internet access at home, so it is great to download emails at work and work with them at home.

It seems that the local folder on Thunderbird is specified as an absolute path...

This is not ideal because at school, my drive letter is different. Is there any way to change the local folder to a relative location?

Where is it specified?

gets updated on every launch with the current drive letter.

I read the info above that says, "It supports upgrades from Thunderbird Portable 1.5 & 2.0 by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all your email and settings."

What, if any, is the upgrade path from V1.0.7?

Thanks!

How can I get Thunderbird v2.0.0.9 to "see" my profile and account info from Thunderbird v1.0.7 (20050923)?

The install instructions say 2.0.0.9 can be installed over an existing installation and all the profile stuff will be preserved.

But when I did that 2.0.0.9 doesn't recognize my existing account, profile, etc, and asks me to set up a new account.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I'd suggest going to 1.5 first. 2.0 may not be able to directly upgrade a 1.0 profile. If you need additional help, please post in the Thunderbird Portable Forum and not as comments on a news story.

Okay, 1.5 first. Now, where do I go to get v1.5 of Thunderbird Portable? All I can find is 2.0.

Thanks!

1.5 is here

Now PLEASE post a note in the forum if you need extra help... NOT as comments on a news story like you're doing now.
