Sumatra PDF Portable 0.8 Revision 3 Released
Submitted by John T. Haller on January 29, 2008 - 3:31am
Sumatra PDF Portable 0.8 Revision 3 has been released. It's the lightweight Sumatra PDF viewer packaged as a portable app, so you can view PDFs on the go. This release fixes a bug in the 0.8 release that fixes the handling of the newer preferences file (supporting PortableApps.com Backup and portability of the most recently used files list). It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format for easy use from any portable device and integration with the PortableApps.com Suite. And it's open source and completely free.
Read on for more details...
Features
Sumatra PDF is a slim, free, open-source PDF viewer for Windows. Sumatra has a minimalistic design but still has most of the features you need from a PDF viewer. It's small and starts up very fast.
New in This Release
The launcher has been updated to handle the newer Sumatra PDF settings file allowing for compatibility with PortableApps.com Backup and portability of the most recently used files list.
PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format
Sumatra PDF Portable is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Suite including the Menu and Backup Utility.

It doesnt remember my lang settings but I guess thats due to the changed config file. So I can live with that and I hope others too

Yeah
New Sumatra doesn't read old Sumatra's config file, even if you rename it. So I have the installer delete it and let it work with the new one.
