WinDirStat is a disk usage stats viewer and cleanup tool with many handy features:
Wrong Name In ini
Devo - March 20, 2008 - 11:19amThe ini file located in the Source folder still has PuttyPortable as the program name. This should be changed to WinDirStatPortable in order for it to work right.
Missed
Missed that in the beta and the original pre-release months ago... definitely not worth doing a re-release for.

Just an FYI that may help
Just an FYI that may help you out in the future...
We have a tip over in the Cubegames PortableApps wiki about scanning for words like this when you use one app as a template for another.

LOGAN-Portable (Homepage) - March 20, 2008 - 11:30amThanks for releasing a disk statistics tool. This might come in handy. I see my C-Disk is used over 90% so I guess I need to clean up soon
Cool
Simeon - March 20, 2008 - 11:59amI have been waiting for this!
I used the beta for quite some time without problems so I'm glad it got released. It leaves nothing on Win XP Pro limited account.
One question: Why does this appear in the category "Updated Apps" instead of the "New Apps"-section? I think its new...

New Program - Old Trick
I've been using SequoiaView since 2003.

The only advantage this has, is the more detailed info, plus the newer file types from scratch. And of course it's available as a portableApp.
BTW, SequoiaView works with all versions of windows inc Vista64. Not bad for a 6 year old program.

Credits / Advantages
Actually, the author of WinDirStat credits SequoiaView in the about box for part of the inspiration. Along with KDirStat.
WinDirStat has a number of advantages over SequiaView. It has multiple views making it easier to find what you're looking for. It's smaller. It's multilingual. It's still being updated. It's prettier. It's open source. And it's portable (well, now it is).

WinDirStat FTW!
You had me at "updated"...

It's only natural that WinPenguins comes next.
I know a mouse, and he hasn't got a house. I don't know why I call him Gerald. He's getting rather old, but he's a good mouse.
second that

About time, really.
Beardus - March 20, 2008 - 6:10pmI'm aware other tree-like programs exist, but I always wanted one I can take with me that doesn't leave a footprint on the computer it runs on. Works just fine with Vista Ultimate x64. Thanks!
It's already portable
Warhawk - March 20, 2008 - 7:21pmYou guys realize windirstat is already portable as it is?
I downloaded version 1.1.2.80 on March 11 from I think it was Cnets download.com.
All it did was extract the files, either that or I just copied it to my usb drive then uninstalled it on my computer and it works fine on any other computer also.
It only takes up 1.31 mb with the version I downloaded on my usb drive, which is already portable if you ask me...
Not Really
Patrick Patience (Homepage) - March 21, 2008 - 11:24amI'm pretty sure it writes registry entries. Also, we package it so it comes with an easy to use installer for the PortableApps.com Platform Setup, and easy data backup, as well as it's digitally signed.

WinDirStat Isn't Portable
WinDirStat stores its settings in the registry which is definitely not portable.
WinDirStat Portable stores them in the Data directory, it doesn't leave settings behind in the registry, it includes both ANSI and Unicode and automatically launches the correct one and it takes up 1.5MB instead of the 2.12MB that WinDirStat normally takes up (and if space is at a premium, you can remove the locale files and the ANSI version and save an additional 729KB).
