I wanted to thank Zach Huddock for his initial analysis and previous coding of this app. It's been updated since then to use the current PortableApps.com Launcher enabling language switching and better portablization.

If anybody is still using the outdated version and wants to install this over, just move Renamer.xml from AntRenamerPortable\Data\settings to AntRenamerPortable\Data before doing so and it'll use your existing settings.

maybe sourceforge had problems with its mirror system (happens sometimes). Try using another one.

Kewl, thanx! I used a special batch file in the past to rename digital camera shots from EXIF tags. Now it can be done in a GUI, even with RegExps.

Q: What would be the »best« (= most portable, backed-up) place to store Ant Renamer’s *.arb files (AR Batch files)? Simply use X:\PortableApps\AntRenamerPortable\Data?

You can place them there or in Documents somewhere.

Cheers for the fast response. I guess I’ll go for »Data«, since the *.arb files only make sense to the program and — to me — are not documents »as such«. They would then be backed up as »App data«, right?

John, you’re a night owl. (Probably. 1:06 a.m. here.)

everything inside the /Data folder will be backed up if you run the Backup tool in app data mode.

I've been using this for 2 years now. Never thought I'd see it go official. Thanks Smile
