Why make this portable? When the author's site has a portable version already!
It boggles my mind that you would take the time an effort to make it portable due to this "Portable KeePass 1.19b (ZIP Package)" http://keepass.info/download.html.

'nuf said.

The standard KeePass zip involves you having to download your language of choice each time as well (and unzipping the language file, possibly renaming it and placing it in the keepass.exe directory). KeePass Portable here has all the standard languages included with consistent naming and will automatically launch in the language you have the platform set to.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

I use PortableApps portables on the go, and in some cases, at home, when a "just portable" official version exists, because PortableApps are so easy to update since they added the updater. It's just real simple. I don't have to go to the site, I don't have to unpack a .zip, and I don't have to browse my folders, I just launch the updater.

At home I have a separate shortcut to the updater, I don't even use the menu. I use Rocketdock and start menu shortcuts. But I run a pretty custom setup at home. If you're more comfortable using the non-PortableApps version, by all means use that.

BTW, boggle your mind no longer. It's a lot less effort on their part to adapt an already-portable app to the PAF format than one that isn't portable to start with. In such case, the PAF version is just window dressing. It doesn't pretend to be anything more. It's just another choice.

i trust PortableApps to make quality apps. that are stealth, so i don't have to waste time using RegShot to verify an app. is truly stealth.

in addition, i discover new apps. from here.

we all have choices, no one is forcing you to use this.
