ToDoList Portable has been discontinued at the request of the publisher. We have made a converter allowing existing users to convert their ToDoList Portable installs into a standard ToDoList zip install available.

Platform users will be automatically updated to this final release conversion. The converter has been removed from the app store after a 2 week transition period. Users can still manually download and use it.

Existing Users: Convert ToDoList Portable to ToDoList Zip Standard

The installer allows you to convert an existing ToDoList Portable installation to a standard ToDoList zip download so you can continue using the app. Please note that ToDoList zip will not be automatically updated by the PortableApps.com Platform, change languages with the platform, or work with the platform's app data backup option. ToDoList zip has an update checker included, but it currently requires admin rights and, thus, will not function in most portable situations. A backup of your current install will be made and your data should be automatically copied to the new install as well. No existing files will be deleted. The download is available on the former ToDoList Portable homepage.

Alternative PortableApps.com Format Apps

For users looking for a supported task manager that integrates with the PortableApps.com Platform's app store, updater, and backup utility, we recommend either Task Coach Portable or Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition with the Lightning extension.

The details on the developer's set of actions is contained in the forum thread. We gave him every opportunity to come to an amicable solution along with multiple suggestions on packaging, support and branding.

I read the post, thanks for the info and for doing everything you could.
Fortunately the app isn't updated very frequently, so shouldn't make a huge difference.

Did you run the installer upgrader on it? That should have moved the appinfo.ini from where the platform sees it so the updater shouldn't care about it anymore.

Ah, ok. That first screenshot isn't check for updates (where it shouldn't appear if you've already updated). It will show in the app store because it isn't "installed" in a way the platform understands. It's just there to ensure people get the update notification and switch off the PAF one. The platform's app store doesn't currently have an UpdateOnly setting for apps in the database, though it will have one in an upcoming release. You can just ignore it for now.

UPDATE: After the 2 week transition period, we've removed it from the app store. Any leftover users can still manually download and run the converter.
