I upgraded to the latest version Portable Apps version this morning and when I started CherryTree, all my data is GONE!!!

Please tell me you have a way for me to get that back.

My apologies for the issue. It appears that the developer accidentally configured this release to reset Data on upgrade. I'm unsure why and have an email to him to find out. I've pulled the release from the app store, updater, app homepage and SourceForge server so it does not affect others. A new release is being prepped right now.

As to your data, you will need to restore to a recent backup. If you don't have backups, it may also be possible to use an undelete utility to locate the files on the drive but you should stop using the drive immediately so it doesn't get overwritten. There was a critical error in the installer for this release. It's been patched in Rev 2 but user data could be affected on upgrade to 0.35.0 if you placed your files in a specific location. Please see the full write-up and remediation procedures in the CherryTree Portable 0.35.0 Rev 2 release post here: https://portableapps.com/news/2014-10-10--cherrytree-portable-0.35.0-rev...
