Suggested Hardware Requirements for Portable Apps?

Most software titles have Suggested and/or Minimum Hardware Requirements.

I was wondering if we should do the same for portable apps. Kinda like a suggested Read/Write speed the flash drive that it would be running on. It would probably take awhile to finish, but I think it would be worth it.
John's busy enough as it is, but if he approves of this idea, maybe we could round up some volunteers to test-run the apps.

What do you think?

Another suggestion: I think that we should add the ability to include polls in our forum topics. This way, each person who reads a topic can sound off without having to write something.

There are some topics

with users posting their drive speeds...

In general, it should be usb 2.0 but the faster it is, the better for you Smile
I had a emtec 2 gig which was slow as hell (1 min to close fiefox) and then I bought a corsair flash voyager and portableApping became fun again Wink
Their prices were the same and the corsair even had a nice blue cord...

...

usb 2.0 or HI-Speed USB 2.0

at least a 400mhz processor if you have the choice

128mb ram if you have the choice.

basically any computer from 1998 or better and a flash drive that has usb 2.0 or better. that is really it.

IMO

I think it would be whatever the requirements of the programs you are running. Unless I'm missing something...

Compatibility

Check the compatibility page at the bottom of the applications page. It'll give you the operating systems they run on. You could just try using the computer too. Basically for me, if IE doesn't open in less than 60 seconds, then the computer's too slow.
