This is a minor issue. When ever i try and use Audacity I get an error saying that the editing the registry has been disabled by an administrator. In future versions could registry editing be removed? ( categories: )

Nope
Audacity itself uses the registry on every run. You'd need to request a change on their end. There's nothing we can do about it.
