Uninstalling openoffice

evelienrv - January 8, 2008 - 10:31am

Hi there!

Altough openoffice is a very nice (free) program, I still want to uninstall it. But the question is how?

I never found a program that will uninstall openoffice and can't find it in my configuration/software to delete the program.

Went something wrong in the installation? Or did I miss something?

Thanks

Greetings,

Evelien

Are you talking about

Are you talking about OpenOffice.org or OpenOffice.org Portable? For the portable version, simply delete the folder. If you are talking about the full installed version, there should be an uninstaller either linked to in your start menu, or if it's not there, try searching your OpenOffice.org folder for a file with "unins" in the name.

It's the portable

It's the portable version...

So if I delete the folder the program will remove itself or do I need to remove all the links too?

thanks for the fast reaction!

what links are you referring

what links are you referring to? are they the links created by the PortableApps.com Menu, or did you make them yourself? If they are created by PAM, just deleting the folder will work. If you created the shortcuts, you will have to remove them manually.

ok, I created one shortcut

ok, I created one shortcut myself.

thanks for your help!

close the menu

before you delete the folder.
Otherwise one empty folder will remain as the Menu locks it while running.
