Update: BonkEnc has been updated to the latest version as well as a pre-release. See HERE. BonkEnc Portable is a great audio converter that can replace the undeveloped winLAME, CD ripper to replace the slowly developed CDex, among other things. It's a really fantastic utility, please give it a try and let me know how it goes. Try using all of its function portably I wanna make sure it works right. this works well, i think its ready for prime-time. I can't verify that it completely removes things because the only PC i can test on is my own, and I have an installed version of BonkEnc.

I'll have to play with the settings Sunday night then. I won't be home until that time. I believe it all works properly though. I know I changed some settings, but I kinda forgot to check that the local install was preserved lol.

I've been playing around with it a little, and so far it looks good. Keep up the good work.
There was only 1 minor thing that I noticed. The output folder is set to the root directory of the Flash drive (ex. H:\) instead of the music folder (ex. H:\Documents\Music). I had mistakenly assumed that the music folder was the default and wound up spending a few minutes checking other places like the desktop or my documents before I noticed the root folder was the default.
However,
For people not using the PortableApps.com Menu, it will create folders on there drive, or their local drive if that`s where they`re using it from, I didn`t want to do that. I think John may have done something similar with Cornice, so I`ll look into that.

Works for me
Converted a directory of shorten files (using ShnAMP plugin) to LAME mp3 with tags and it worked great!
I have
been using it for a while and it works ok...
I think it should point directly to Music folder on Documents in a regular PApps.com install, it is in paf format, that mean is for PApps.com users... If other users (I use PStart so I{m partially a PApps.com user) wants something different they should change it by themselves...
BTW, being a main Spanish speaker I barely understood your Broken spacebar dialogs...

then the socket packet pocket has an error to report

Nice on the spacebar. And yes, I was thinking about adding in code in the installer that if the PortableApps Menu exists, to write the directory to Documents\Music.

I don't use PAM (PSTart instead) but I use the structure... let the App check if "Documents/Music" exist or something like that, but no PAM... pleeeeease... :'(
