ClamWin Portable 0.92 Upgrade Question

I can't swear to this but I'm 80% sure I've lost my preferences.
I "usually" set CWP to not scan certain file types.
I'm pretty sure I did it last time with a Clean install.
This time I installed in place [over existing CWP]
All preferences are gone.

Is this to be expected?
Not a biggie, but I thought I'd mention it.

Tim

{edit: never mind. Support page does not recommend over writing existing install so I guess it's not supported Sad
https://portableapps.com/support/clamwin_portable#upgrading
Hopefully by doing that I did not mess up anything, John should I delete and try again? By the way the overwrite method would be good in future releases as it did maintain my definition files which are rather large. You might mention on the support page copying the def files as well as the ones you mentioned. This is of course assuming that they are current, which mine always are Smile
I will test for speed and performance later, hopefully it will be faster.}

Outdated

Actually, that support topic is outdated. The entire Data subdirectory structure is preserved. If anything was reset, it may be because ClamWin itself changed its settings file structure. Try changing options and restarting. And changing and installing over itself again and see what you get.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

I changed options and

I changed options and saved.
Reinstalled over itself. New Settings Were maintained.

The new version does have a setting which was not in the old version,
Advanced "Detect Potentially Unwanted Applications"
its setting is "detectpua = 1" in ClamWin.conf

I will try at work tomorrow to see if it happens again.
And, as I mentioned, it is possible that I did not change the prefs the last time.

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?

AOK

I updated the Old CWP at work after making sure I changed some settings.

Settings WERE maintained Smile
So I guess the version at home did not have any special settings, My Bad Sad
