Clam False Positive![]() Submitted by Tim Clark on January 27, 2008 - 10:08am.
The latest data bases of ClamAntiVirus [The dats used by ClamWin and therefore ClamWinPortable] have a Probable False Positive for Ad-Aware. For those who don't know Ad-Aware is the grand daddy of antiAdware/Spyware programs and many people have it on their machine. I have had the same .exe on my machine for over a year. While it is possible that the .exe could have been infected in the past 2 days it is unlikely. The rest of the system reports clean from CWP and my other malware checkers. I reported it to the ClamAv team last night. Again, CWP is reporting a Probable False Positive in the Ad-Aware SE executable. There is no need to reply to this message. Tim ( categories: )
