I just downloaded VLC and can't get it to install. I've dowloaded twice and each time I get a 9.5 Mb file. When I click on the .exe nothing at all happens. My specs are P4 3.2Ghz, 2Gb RAM, ATI Radeon 9600 Pro Vid card, ASUS P4P8X SE MoBo. Windows XP Home. ( categories: )

Did you
check the MD5Sum?
Its displayed on the Apps page and you can generate it using winMd5Sum Portable. If they match you know you don't have a corrupt download.
Another possibility could be that the copy on the Sourceforge server you are using is corrupted and it will work if you try another one.
