Spellchecker issue -- no longer underlines misspelled words

I installed the latest version (Pidgin 2.4.0) and, even though the "highlight misspelled words" checkbox remains checked, it does not mark the words as misspelled.

Come to think of it, I cannot be sure that this has ever worked since I moved to the PortableApps version. Is there something other than just Pidgin I need to install for this to work? For the non-PortableApps version, I had installed aspell and an English dictionary... do I need to include that on my USB drive as well?

Pidgin Portable will look for ASpell within the PidginPortable\App\Aspell directory. You can generally just copy all your ASpell files from a local install into there.

Live with purpose.
