Changing an App path

deivisvieira - March 11, 2008 - 7:35pm

Hello, I did a little search here and couldn't find what I am looking for, so here it is.

I got this Firebird language extension installed. But in order to activate it, I gotta use a shortcut using the -UILocale thing at the end, and it works perfectly.
But now there it is, from the PApps menu I can't open the shortcut, even if I rename it to the same name as the usual .exe file...if there was only a way to change the path to my shortcut, it would be perfect.

Thanks in advance

Additional Parameters

I think you mean Firefox. And you can add additional paremeters through the use of an INI file. Pop open help.html in the FirefoxPortable directort and there's a link for advanced options.

A better bet is to use the recommended methods of changing the language in Firefox Portable detailed here:
http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable/localization

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

btw

the lang packs are still 2.0.0.11...

I really meant firebird, but

I really meant THUNDERbird, but I'm gonna check that anyways.
Thanks

EDIT: lol I confused the name...I meant THUNDERbird

Lol Yeah

but as both Applications are from the same company, it doesn't really matter as the procedure is alike.

SOLVED

As you said, they're from the same company.
I did the same thing as I did before on firefox...just got the locale switcher extension and now I can change between languages.
Thanks for the support everyone.

I'm glad

it worked Smiling
