Spanish translation

Hi, everybody
I've translated Toucan 1.2.1.1 into spanish. I tried to get Steve's mail to send hin the .mo file, but I didn't find it.

I've uploaded the .mo file with a spanish translation.
Excuse-me, I didn't know how it works...
Also I've forgotten to indicate the language (spanish - ES) in the .mo filename, I hope someone could correct this missing...

reply in a couple of days, I needed to get some bits and pieces set up for Spanish as this is the forth set of translations that I have recieved and I have no way of knowing which ones are best!

Si estás haciendo esas traducciones deberías indicar que es Español para España, con América Latina hay algunas diferencias (video por vídeo, computadora por ordenador, etc) que algunos latinoamericanos no captan... sobre todo los mexicanos, jejeje...

En serio, ustedes hablan con más anglisismos que los demás... bueno, creo que los panameños son los reyes del anglisismo, pero los Mexicanos van allí allí, pegaditos, jejeje Eye-wink

mi estimado aciago, directamente de las fronteras mas al norte de los países latinoamericanos. De hecho, para ser mas especifico, una de las fronteras mas grandes (de tamaño) y mas transitadas del mundo. El lugar de nacimiento del Noa Noa, y grandes cómicos mexicanos como Tin Tan. A ver si adivinan, se los puse muy facil. Y si, a ver si nos ponen nuestra seccion. Eye-wink

Es verdad, dentro del español hay muchas diferencias!!! Pero a mi entender la principal es la de español de españa y español de latinoamérica. Algunos ejemplos son esos que nombraron mas arriba!!

Es muy difícil lograr o encontrar palabras "neutras" que sean entendidas por la mayoría. Muchas veces la traducción que se aplica a una palabra vista en el ámbito del programa nada tiene que ver con la función que realiza ya que el lenguaje de las computadoras y programas han creado sus propias palabras y frases.

Las traducciones que hago están orientadas al español de latinoamérica !! Smiling

El asunto es que unos hemos tomado palabras de un idioma y otros de otro, por ejemplo, para nosotros "computadora" viene del Inglés (computer) pero los Españoles lo tomaron del Francés (Ordinateur) y por eso dicen "ordenador", pero tampoco es tanto que no se entienda ¿o si?

P.D.: Los Colombianos le cambiaron el sexo (o mejor dicho, se lo cambiamos nosotros) y le dicen "computador"... Eye-wink

There are two kinds of Spanish.
On one side of spain, and the other of the Latin américa.Mi translation is for Latin America.
