Getting Hotmail to Work Properly
adamdschmidt - March 29, 2008 - 8:09pm
Hi,
I've just started using portable apps. The problem I'm having is when I try to download my Hotmail email to the Portable Thunderbird client. I'm using the server:
pop3.live.com and am using the SSL connection type. I set it up using the "webmail account" settings in Thunderbird. The specific problem I'm having is that I get this message everytime I try to access my email through Thunderbird:
"Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server pop3.live.com responded: mailbox for swavcat@hotmail.com is not available."
I am able to log into the Hotmail website and view email and I'm able to download it to Outlook on my computer. What am I missing? Thanks.
BTW I have Thunderbird Portable 2.0.0.12, Webmail 1.3.1, and Webmail-Hotmail 1.2.14
Adam
