Text Selecting?Submitted by heartbt on April 7, 2008 - 4:55pm
Long time reader, first time post. With that in mind, I'm not sure if this is a support question, bug (tho I'm pretty sure it's not) or a feature request. Either way I think it should go here. I cannot select text from a PDF for a cut or copy and paste operation. This occurs in PDF's that I have made, and others from web. If this is normal, then this is a feature request. If this is not, then what is going on here? This would be a tremendous feature, for at least me. Thanks to all the forum for helpful, informative, and sometimes entertaining reading. ( categories: )

I think
thats a feature request. You're right it would be a cool thing to be able to select text. But (as you may have noticed) John only packaged the Application, so feature requets should go to the original Author.

Thanks to Simeon who put me on the trail. Text selection is implemented in the current version of sumatraportable. Ctrl + Left drag will draw a box around text, then the old Ctrl + C will copy. There will be no feedback that the copy has occurred, but it should copy to the clip board. According to the tracker there is some refining of the feature possibly coming out in later versions.
