Send Button in IM Windowarizona480 - June 11, 2008 - 2:35am
Hey, is there a way to add or can someone add a SEND button to the IM window, many times I will type something, but not send it until the other person responds and it would be nice to be able to "click" and send the text. ( categories: )

We didn't write Pidgin here, we only made it portable. However, in the last release, the Pidgin changelog noted that there is not a send button available but it's 'not install by default'. I talked to the developers, and they say it's not included with the Windows version of Pidgin because of an oversight when packaging, so you'll have to dig around for that. I have no idea where it might be available.
Also, I don't understand your argument. Why would it be nice to be able to 'click' and send? You just push enter, it's seems the same to me since the typing area is in focus by default unless you click somewhere else.
