Cheat Engine is an open source tool designed to give you the upper hand in games, but also contains other useful tools to help debugging games and even normal applications.

It comes with a memory scanner to quickly scan for variables used within a game and allow you to change them, but it also comes with a debugger, disassembler, assembler, speedhack, trainer maker, direct 3D manipulation tools, system inspection tools and more.

Bumpity

I was gonna make a post requesting this myself, but I did a search and see this thread.

Now, normally, I'd let this stay buried, but nobody has given a valid reason why not to make this portable. (Nobody had replied at all, but that's besides the point)

Any takers?

The guy who acts like he knows what he's talking about.

its difficult due to one

its difficult due to one needing administrative rights to run it in XP SP3 and up. that puts a crimp in portability.

Other apps need it too...

JK Defrag needs administrator rights too, and it's an official app.

Yes it does. but it doesnt

Yes it does. but it doesnt triggger firwalls and Antiavirus security programs like Cheat Engine does. so thats the other crimp is that its usefulness might be hindered by security software. also if it did get made there would be so many complaints of "Cheat Engine is showing up as a trojan". Thats because of how it works reading the RAM.
