portable avast and avg antivirus

Hello. I want to suggest portable avg and avast antiviruses because many users use them and I think that it wuld be a previlege to have them in portable edition, so that they don't depend on my windows that much.

Avast! antivirus...

isnt OSS either so not going to happen. thogh if you have U3 than you can get a version of avast for your drive thogh it is only a trial and you have to pay for the full u3 version.

**Also** i am guilty of asking for avast antivirus portable. Blum

Papatchris, unfortunately, as

Papatchris, unfortunately, as lordmax and sergentsiler said, it is not possible. As you can read in the PortableApps.com Unnoficial FAQ, section: Can you make [name] portable?, an app needs to have an license OpenSource compatible (GPL/LGPL/MIT,… see OSI for a full list.).

Unfortunatelly, both AVG and Avast are closed source.

I recommend an alternative like ClamWin Portable, that is OpenSource and is already portabilized.

Hope to have helped and welcome
