ICQ is not working

I get the following error when ICQ tries to connect. It worked fine this morning.

The client version you are using is too old. Please upgrade at http://pidgin.im/

Pidgin's website also seems to be down, so I'll investigate again, more, later tonight.

Their site finally loaded, albeit slowly. Here's what they have to say:

We are aware of the problems connecting to ICQ with Pidgin 2.4.2 and older. We hope to have a new release and packages out soon to fix this. In the meantime, if you compile Pidgin from source you can use this patch to fix it.

Wow, I just got back to my ICQ account, and noticed ICQ is so behind in term of Instant Messaging. Passwords-length of 8 characters and lower ? maybe in 1995..

Sorry, just my rant about ICQ. Laughing out loud
