Hey after updating to 3.01 from a 2.xx some addons are disabled and their items are completely grayed out in the add-ons menu. How can I install these and be rid of them? the uninstall buttons are grayed out along with everything else. thanks ( categories: )

If the uninstall button and
If the uninstall button and menu item are disabled, the add-on is locked. To uninstall a locked add-on, you'll first have to unlock it via Safe Mode.

One of them actually seems to have disappeared..????
The other is RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin 1.0 Is there a FF 3 update for this do you know? I cant even remember what it does!!
+ how do I "unlock" in safe mode? I can run safe mode OK but the add-on shows up just as before with no indication of how to unlock it...

You did not say plugins
In your question you asked about Addons, not Plugins,
They are not the same.

AddOns
AddOns = Themes + Extensions + Plugins in the Firefox 3 interface.
We should ask folks to clarify if they say AddOns.

Personally I don't like way Mozilla flips in naming things,
