Java and Open Office Writer

Hi,

I need to use Turkish spell check with Open Office (OO). So far the only capable addon i found is something called "Zemberek".

The program can be found at http://code.google.com/p/zemberek/

It needs java to run.

So by using "Java Portablizer 1.1" I added Java to my portable applications environment.

The two places I placed are:

X:\PortableApps\JavaPortablizer
X:\PortableApps\OpenOfficePortable\App\Java

Then i added zemberek to OO through Extension Manager.

However, it does not work.

I checked under the Java tab (options>OpenOffice.org>Java) it can not find the java on my flash drive.

I added it through the "add" button on the right.

Still nothing.

And every time i restart the OO Writer, I have to add the pathway for the portable java again.

Still nothing.

I would appreciate if some one could help.

Thanks.

Seems to be a problem of the extension ...

... cause Java works without problems in 2.4.1 too.
Keep in mind that it never will showed under Tools-Options-Java.
Try to use a Wizzard (e.g. Fax wizard) if this works, portable Java is available.

Open Office 3.0 beta

Hi,

Installed the portable OO 3.0 beta.

The wizards work.

So i am assuming that means the portable java works.

I must be doing something wrong with the addon.

Going to try the OO Turkey forums.

Thanks.
