Sorry guys, I'm dropping support for this. I havne't he time to work on it right now, and I want to refocus some of what I do with my free time. This is up for grabs to anyone who wants it.

Description: CamStudio is able to record all screen and audio activity on your computer and create industry-standard AVI video files and using its built-in SWF Producer can turn those AVIs into lean, mean, bandwidth-friendly Streaming Flash videos (SWFs). Plus, it leaves no personal information behind on the machine you run it on, so you can take your tutorial and presentation application wherever you go.
Note: This will copy some data and rename some others from tanisthalon (Geoff Shearsmith)'s version.

help.html: at the end of the tagline, there is a trademark symbol and I guess it isn't a registered trademark. (your other apps have that too)
CamStudioPortable.ini: remove the line WaitForCamStudio=false
Readme.txt: false version number and your copyright is missing
appinfo.ini: is about PNotes Portable
DefaultData: the files Camdata.ini, CamLayout.ini and CamShapes.ini include a path "E:\Da Stuff Dump\PAF Projects\CamStudioPortable\App\CamStudio", so I think that's not really default.
I guess that the folder "\App\CamStudio\New Folder" could be deleted

I'll check to see if it works for the beta, but supporting a beta isn't exactly a high priority. Its generally best to use the official release.

As for the codec, I won't be integrating that as of yet. Its a driver installation, which as of yet I don't have figured out.

The *.dll seems to be a beta version requirement. If I support the beta, dlls will be included by defualt.

Since someone else was asking for this, just to let you know:

It installs as PNotes Portable...and doesn't work until you do the following:

You will need to correct the following things in
X:\PortableApps\CamStudioPortable\App\AppInfo\appinfo.ini

to the following:

Name=CamStudio Portable
Category=Music and Video
Description=CamStudio is able to record all screen and audio activity on your computer and create industry-standard AVI video files and using its built-in SWF Producer can turn those AVIs into lean, mean, bandwidth-friendly Streaming Flash videos (SWFs).
Start=CamStudioPortable.exe

Not sure about this one:

Homepage=PortableApps.com/PNotesPortable

just change it to say CamStudio Portable?

Then refresh the app list and it works

As for the homepage, you might as well due Camstudio's actual homepage.

By the way, the answer to your sig is i. But its not normally bolded, jus tcursive, but I didnn't think it stood out real well.

Oliver, I know you updated to say you don't have time for this one anymore, but what's your take on how close this is besides the minor bits mentioned? If you don't have time, I may just update it and release it once 2.0 stuff is posted over the next few weeks.

As far as code is concerned, its pretty bad. It was alright when I wrote it (for my coding skills), but not so much anymore. There's still a really big issue, which is what happens when you start camstudio and then another camstudio app. They overlap and can mess with settings. Not so much at launch, but when you close them out. this is like the issue with QT toolkit apps, only much worse.

I really don't want this to go official yet because of that. I might be able to work around it, but I haven't tried it yet.

As far as having you update it, no. Its silly for me to develop something, then you grab it and update some code. If its my app, its my app, and I fix it. There's a difference between giving me a patch, and just fixing it. Its nothing against you. How can I saw I worked on it and did it, if you patch it?

If you want to develop it, its fine. But its you developing it, not you under my name or vice versa. I can root around and see if I can't dig up a copy of the launchers for you, or anyone else. Its GPL so anyone can technically start working on it.

I'm going to post a leave of absence on my portableapps blog because I have three weeks of school left, and alot that is going to jam up my time with that.

If someone wants to develop it properly, that fine. I may even come back to it. But at this point both PNotes and Geany are out of date and are higher on my priority list.
