Juice Portable

Hi,

While I have used a couple portable apps on my Sandisk U3, I am nowt testing out the suite with the hope of abandoning U3 altogether. It looks good.

However, I do use my usb drive to handle downloading podcasts. Currently using myPodder U3. It works the way I want.

Two days ago I installed Juice Portable v2.2 Test 10. It runs okay. I was never a big fan of Juice. There are maybe two things that bug me and after looking at the configuration file I still don't know if I can modify things to my satisfaction.

First, so far I can have Juice check for feeds, and it immediately downloads them.
I would prefer to check the available feeds before downloading. One reason is sometimes the index gets reset and older Podcasts get downloaded. Second, is there are several video podcast in my feeds and I would prefer not to download a big file if I don't want it.

Second, Juice writes the downloaded fees to a folder named for the feed. My preference is to have them go into a single folder. Makes it easier to drag them into my player. Using myPodder, audio podcasts to to \Podcast and video podcast go to \Video.

Has anyone monkeyed around with Juice to have some suggestions?

Thanks,

Dana

I guess I should say, "never

I guess I should say, "never mind," unless someone else feels the same way.

Fiddled around a bit tonight and was able to get myPodder running as a Portable Appl.

Looks as if I am ready to leave U3 behind.

A question

Are you able to have it work with coolplayer portable flawlessly? How do you work with Juice and other portable apps in combination?
