Netbeans IDE 6.1 & Sun's JDK 6u10

This would be incredibly handy because i am always going to a library computer and can never work on my programs weather it be a portable app i am making or just a fun self use app.

I belive SUN's JDK is closed

I belive SUN's JDK is closed source.

a few minutes later:
On 13 November 2006, Sun Microsystems made the bulk of its implementation of Java available under the GNU General Public License, although there are still a few parts distributed as precompiled binaries due to intellectual property restrictions.

I sit corrected.

NetBeans 6.5

I'd also throw my vote behind an implementation of the new 6.5 release.
