How to do flash?Submitted by Kermode on January 6, 2009 - 12:12pm
It says here "Flash is available as an extension. Just click the link" I do. Follow the text (even restart) and then go to YouTube to be greeted by: "Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player." Huh... so how does this work? Sure I could just download and install what they suggest, but something tells me its not going to be portable, eh? ( categories: )

Try
Try this:

"freenode, it's Not as Free as it used to be, Free as in Freedom"
Yep
That worked.
Might be a good idea to have the right instructions on the main page
There is also an installer
There is also an installer from portableapps.com in the Beta Testing Forum, I have not used it recently

install adobe flash WITHOUT admin privileges . . .
just search for "NPSWF32.dll" on a popular internet search engine (wink). you should easily find a download for this file. i found it as a zip file. unzip it and put it in the "plugins" folder in the firefox "apps" folder so you'll have something like . . . E:\My Browers\FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox\plugins\NPSWF32.dll. it works perfectly. hope this helps . . .
It is best to get the file
It is best to get the file from the legitimate adobe site

Agreed
And your link (Tim) worked fine, so no reason to search any further
