Gourmet Portable 0.8.5.14 Development Test 2

I have tried it on vista but it does not work on vista. I don't know but can it work on vista (the actual program)?

Edit: Ok it kinda works on vista, but data is not moved and it stops working when I try to close it.

It looks like the library.zip is corrupt because when I try to open it, it says it is invalid.

Here's what I found. Mostly minor stuff.

• the help.html file should have the version # in it, so it should be titled
  Gourmet Portable 0.8 Development test 1 Help, both on the title bar and on page.
• The tagline and specific issues mention HTTrack, not gourmet
• For the icon, include only 48px, 32px, and 16px sizes, in both 32 and 8 bit colours
• HTTrack is mentioned several times in the readme.txt in Other/source
• I'm not sure where you got !define VER "3.4.3.2" from - HTTrack, I'll guess - this is for the launcher version, which I think is at 1.6.0.0, not the base app.
• I think the files in Gourmet\Data should be copied from DefaultData
• For category, I would put it under Office, it's basically a productivity tool/organiser.
• Library.zip is corrupted
• I'm not sure about the splash. I think that in cases like this the base app's splash is usually relplaced with a custom one that has PortableApps branding (see GIMP portable; OO.o 3 Portable). I don't know much about GTK apps, but I suggest looking at how the splash in GIMP porable is set up.

That's all I found for now, it looks pretty good.

The folder %APPDATA%\gourmet is being left in the %APPDATA% folder.

I didn't install anything about GTK. I just downloaded and executed the package "Gourmet_Portable_0.8.5.14_Development_Test_1.paf.exe". Is there anything to do before execute "GourmetPortable.exe" ?

Hi all,

When I execute GourmetPortable nothing happens. I don't get a splash but GourmetPortable shows up in the windows task manager.

Any ideas?

I just downloaded this, it seems to launch perfectly on Win7 Ultimate x64... Is it still being maintained/updated? This is one of my favorite programs and I would love to see it being used with the current version. Thanks!
