Google sync

I'm using Google calendar to take my calendar with me.

Is it possible to install Google sync to and run from a USB stick without changing anything on the host computer? I know that probably the answer is that it is not open source but could anyone research what's been altered on the host PC?
My employer doesn't allow installing software so I use portable applications.

Thnx in advance
and keep up the good work!

Google Browser Sync discontinued

http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/browsersync/ for info.

If that's not what you're meaning, look at the others referenced at that page; Mozilla Weave, Google Toolbar and Foxmarks.

And anyway, Google Calendars is online - what is there to synchronize and what needs synchronizing and from what to what?

Sorry for the confusion:

I'm using microsoft outlook at my employers, and I want to sync the appointments in ms/outlook to my Google calendar. That way I have insight in my appointments at home.

OK

You can use Google Calendar Sync and follow the instructions at http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=89955

However, this is not open source software, and so we can't support it as yet.

I think he wants to know if

I think he wants to know if it can be installed to a portable device and be used on his employers computer who doesn't allow things to be installed.

For the google weary

Won't need to make this a portableapp since it is already portable. It uses the MS-PL license, so you should be free to use.
