Assuming one file after downloading

Hi,

After downloading openoffice I found two files on my flasfdrive that had the same name, but very different sizes.

I am assuming that the smaller file (818 KB)was a partial download. The larger file (ca. 88MB is the office installation file.

Am I right in thinking that when downloading openoffice portable that I should have only one file?

Thanks

Two files cannot take the same file name.
Have you tried to download and failed previously?

My first attempt did fail. I think the smaller file represents this.

I assueme that one file is all I should expect on download

you´d better download the bigger files to the desktop

in order to avoid the bottleneck USB port. Then install the file to your flashdrive -> install works less buggy and is much faster. If you have a slow drive install the whole Openofficeportable to your desktop and move it over after finishing the installer

HI,

I have installed openoffice portable to a flashdrive. I think that I have the complete exe file.

The smaller file that I mentioned was probably formed when I was experimenting. I had never used winwget before. So I got a small file then stopped because I could not see what I was doing.

On gaining a little experience, I then doiwnloaded the whole programme in stages. It seems to be about the right size.

I assume that you agree that I should have only one exe file.

Best wishes
