Options - defaults

Openoffice tools options tells me that the paths are like:

c:\users\me\documents\openoffice...

For base

c:\users\me\documents\...

Before I burn to CD, or even on the pendrive itself, do I need to change these because the suite may be used on other machines?

If so what should they be changed to?

For colour, blue seems to be the default. What does this apply to? I would prefer a white background and black font as defaults.

If I wanted to just use one of the programmes, say writer, could I just click on the writer exe and start just this programme. Or must I always start using prortable exe?
