Hi i need help

okay so when i enter things like 3-5, 6-8 etc... it turns it to a date like 3/5/09 or 6/8/09 how do i stop it from doing this?

if you want to enter a formula, you need to enter and equal sign first. OpenOffice.org has a pretty good manual on it somewhere that should help Smiling

EX. this is a basic out line what i am trying to do

bench press

           weight reps rest(between reps) sets
Light      135    10   1 min                3 

medium     185    6-8  3 min                2

heavy      225    3-5  5 min                2

hm but wouldn't people think that means inches or something :/ or i guess i can put 6 or 8 but if i do that i still kind of want to know how to turn that off

It disappears

The whole point is that it disappears. It indicates to OO.o that "THIS IS A TEXT FIELD, DON'T MESS WITH IT"
