Jabber?

I would guess they're using the Jabber protocol, since that one is open. Google uses it, too. It's supported by both Portable Miranda and Portable Gaim. Wait to see if someone posts something online somewhere on how to configure it.

From what I've read, it seems to be an in-house development, which means it may not be compatible with anything except itself. Some folks have analyzed packets from it and it appears to be MSN-like.

You'll have to wait and watch as things develop. When someone figures out how to get something else to connect to it... someone will work it into Gaim or Miranda... and it'll then be portable.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
