ERROR: Broken or not a CVD file

Is this a bug?
I made a fresh Clamwin portable installation. Successfully downloaded the virus database.
A few seconds after starting the scan, I get this error resulting in the scan to be stopped.

ERROR: Broken or not a CVD file

What is the problem?
Using Windows 2000 Pro.

delet you cvd file and then

delete you cvd file and then do a fresh update. it is a problem that happens with other Av programs as well.

Thanks, deleting all cvd files worked.

For reference, these files are in the folder called Data\db.
