Copying Local Thunderbird Settings to portable

i had mozilla thunderbird in laptop, i had given my laptop to someone but i kept my hard disk with me, now i want my all my local mails to thunderbird portable please tell the procedure and i had tried with this link http://portableapps.com/support/thunderbird_portable#local_profile but no use, Please tell me the procedure.
