Google Talk?

Sduibek - July 12, 2009 - 12:25pm

Just wondering if Google Talk is Open Source and/or counts as such for the purposes of making it "Portable".

If no, (which unfortunately I assume will be the answer...) what other options do we have? Are there Freeware+OpenSource IM/Chat clients that support the Google Talk account and infrastructure?

This would be something awesome to have in portable form, so respond with anything you got! Smiling

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report Laughing out loud

No it doesn't

Neither miranda or pidgin have support for Jingle VoIP, which makes them no more useful than the gmail browser client. Mind you, it's a miricle that even the gTalk client supports jingle...

It would be easier just to install the Google Talk and Video browser plugin into your firefox portable than trying to wall gtalk into a portable app...
