what i realy need is something that can access the apple itunes store and itunes came
to mind but can winamp access the apple store or what?

Nothing but iTunes can access the iTunes store. And since iTunes is not open source and Apple's licensing is so strict we cannot make it portable.
http://app-store.appspot.com/ (I see right now it is down and I do not know how long it will be but just thought I'd show ya what I found :D)
EDIT: I remembered there was a site which offered an online version of the iTunes store.
