Progress bar shows Toucan.tmp files copied?Submitted by Guyfrommars on August 8, 2009 - 4:49pm
I've noticed in the log a number of 'toucan.tmp' files being updated. In one instance, I had a whole list of 'Toucan.tmp' files that had been copied. In another instance,I could not find any .tmp files in the source or destination. I recently began having this problem, but can't find out what is causing it. I currently run 2.1.2 ( categories: )

Which
log are you referring to, the one in the progress window?
The Toucan.tmp files are created when Toucan copies a file, it goes something like this; Copy source\file to dest\toucan.tmp, if it copied ok then rename it to the required file. This helps to reduce copies that have corruption, if we copied straight over the destination and the copy was interrupted for example there would be a corrupt file left. This is why you don't see the files

Yes
Yes, I'm referring to the Progress Window. It has been showing Toucan.tmp files copied and I've also had at least fifteen Toucan.tmp files copied to my flash drive, left over after the Sync job. I've seen this happen occasionally, with one file, but now it's doing this with a large number of files. (I made sure to search .tmp files and delete them before syncing).
