Pidgin 2.6.1 - Theme Support Clarification/Help

As you guys should know Pidgin has been updated to v2.6.1 which includes several new features and improvements. Audio & Video anybody? No WIN Support yet but on the way [well if we waited this long, why not just wait a bit longer lol]

One of the new features in pidgin is the Theme support. I have known and I've been skinning pidgin with the GTK themes, but my question is; What is the different between the old GTK skinning style and newly introduced way?

I have found no documentation, at least nothing clear, on this matter. I have noticed the theme option under Tool >> Preferences >> Tab-Interface & Tab-Sounds which offer no other option but the default "none"

Where and how do I get these themes files?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
