Automatic update checker

Can anyone tell how to set this up for portable apps. Have heard that Ketarin can do the job, and perhaps also Filehippo, but how?

It's a feature that will be integrated into the new version of the Platform when it gets finished, and one that has been much requested. It'll be released when it's done.
