GIMP: such a thing as a Eraser by color, or section?

Ok, for anybody who has used photoshop if you remember the magic eraser that deletes everything thats one certain color, does gimp have something like this?

Sort of...

You can select by color, or use the magic wand to select, then use the eraser to delete the selection.
