I found out what's happening...
The PA Installer (i mean the installer maker from PA) is compiling it and it says its good but after I click on it to install it, it says that message installer integrity check has failed. I recompiled it several times and I have no clue what in the world is going wrong.
I think I know the problem though and I'm fixing it now.
[username] [at] gmx [dot] us
can you
just zip it and upload it for the time being until you figure out the problem

I discovered the problem
for some reason the installer would't compress correctly without the uninstall.exe file in the \HaloZeroPortable\App\HaloZero (I deleted it because I didn't think that you would need that aisnce it wasn't installed to your computer.

Its supposed to save there, I haven't taught myself how to make it save in the data folder. But at least it doesn't mess with the computer.

Host it on MediaFire
Try hosting the file on mediafire. It's faster, and you don't need an account to upload files.
The guy who acts like he knows what he's talking about.
You don't need an account for megauload either
But if you say its faster, I'll give it a shot.
I'll upload dev test 3 on there.
[username] [at] gmx [dot] us
Yup!
Unlike megaupload, theres no wait time to download.
The guy who acts like he knows what he's talking about.
Plus
Most Download Managers/Accelerators are supported.
Also Mediafire's base download speed is significantly speedier then Megaupload's in my experience.

Widescreen?
I downloaded this and I tried to play it but it doesn't really work. I think it might be my computer but it is a problem so I thought to mention it.
The screen shows up streched to fit the entire screen but the window is only like 1/8th of the screen. the mouse only stays in that spot too.
It might because of my widescreen but I'll just mention it and hope you guys have an answer to it.

plugin problem
My friend had that problem tio. My guess is that the plugin to make the game full screen doesn't work. Can't fix that though. Sorry.
Whats your operating system and computer type?

My third release is scheduled later this month.

Dev test 3 is out!
And I was wondering, do you think its ready for Pre-Release? I finally fixed everything I could possibly think of including that uninstall problem, so what are your thoughts?

Pre-Release is Out!
Note that I tried experimenting with different compressions but none of them worked so I left the game uncompressed.

Testing
Couple other things that have slipped passed:
Now for the actual launcher:
It might seem like a lot, but its looking good (heaps better than my first app). Keep up the good work, and I hope to see an official Halo Zero Portable some day soon.
But there’s no sense crying over every mistake,
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
Thanks
this was the kind of response I was hoping for!
Will do.

status
readme.txt: fixed
appicon.ico: fixed
appinfo.ini: the game is 1.8.6.3. it was already like that in my current version. do you mean VERSION: .91? That's the version for the paf
help.html: fixed
INI: will do
splash: I thought the splash always came from \source. The latest BonkEnc Portable has it there.
settings: still new to NSIS, so haven't figured that out, yet.
and what was your first app? did john pass it?
[username] [at] gmx [dot] us
Pre-Release?
Pyromaniac, you've labelled your latest version a Pre-Release, but Taffin says you've still got the Development Test splash screen, and John hasn't okayed it for Pre-Release here at least. Presuming that it hasn't been okayed, you shouldn't jump the gun and label it as a pre-release: it's still a development test. So could you please relabel it as a Development Test?

oh
I didn't know that. I thought you just labled it pre-release when you put it in "Apps ready for official release post here" forum.
Sorry.
[username] [at] gmx [dot] us
Love it!
Installed it, found it was surprisingly good.

Updated!
I don't think there is a need for an ini file unless you want to not have a splash screen. But simply deleting HaloZeroPortable.jpg makes you have no spalash.

Updated to Dev Test 6
I didn't really do much except that I used the newest version of the PortableApps.com Installer. Download if you'd like to.
See the Unofficial Official webpage until the official one gets released...

I updated the link AGAIN.

Download Update...
From Sept. 21 to Jan. 25, there have been 266 downloads.
And counting that there were 126 days in that time...
That comes out to 2.11111111111 downloads per day.
I just thought it would be nice to post this.

I don't know
you can try contacting the devs of the original app, but I don't know if they support it any more (this was the final release).
I still need to upload a new portable version thats up to date with the launcher specifications.
Sorry about that.

Few things to fix prior to release
Pyromaniac, I've reviewed HaloZero, and here are a few things which need to be fixed prior to this being ready for release:
Once these are taken care of, this is ready for release. It's been added to the Development Releases Status page.
No Official Release
I don't want this released. It's not an app that's PortableApps.com-caliber. It's old, slow on newer PCs, unsupported, dead, and a pretty crappy game, even when you do get a chance to play it well.
This, was, after all, my first app, and I've dropped support.
