how to contact forum member

Several weeks ago someone named Abecedarian posted that he has a method using PStart and TrueCrypt and that he would post details if anyone was interested.

So far now 4 people have expressed interest in his technique but he hasn't responded.

Since he may not have looked at the topic since, is there a way to send a message directly to the user?

yeah how can we do that?

Yeah there's someone I want to ask a question to as well, but as far as I know, there is no contact info we can access.

Disabled at the moment

Contact forms are disabled at the moment as they are implemented poorly in Drupal. It fakes a from address of the sender even though it is sent from the PortableApps.com server causing it to fail SPF checks and be blocked by many providers now. I thought it better to disable it rather than have it be up and sometimes just not work. I plan on hacking the Drupal module and fixing it myself, actually, and implementing it then.

I'm exploring using a private message system on the site in the short term as well.

If someone has their personal website in their profile, that's usually the best way to contact them.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

'Cept for me

I don't have anywhere to get contact info from.
