The player is 100% controllable by keyboard and its easy finder and special rename functions help you to find and organize your files quickly.

Open source

Interesting little program, but it is not open source. This site is presently limited to only open source programs.

It did make a couple of registry entries but keeps an .ini file in the application's own directory.

PAF Live

If a freeware application has interest from the right dev it is possible for it to have a PAF Live installer. This installs the apps PAF structure then downloads the base app and extracts the required files into the appropriate files. Like a launcher with the added feature of downloading and placing the correct files. Examples are Java Portable, PicPick Portable, and Glary Utilities Portable. So far Java Portable is the only one to become an official app however the other two mentioned are on the development tests table.

Billy

While Billy isn't officially portable, it has a small enough footprint allowing it to be used on the thumb drive like a portable.

I keep Billy on mine and I get great results. It's a dandy little program.
