2.6.2 cannot login Gtalk account

I'm behind company firewall. If I install Pidgin and set proxy, I can login Gtalk account.
But if I use Pidgin Portable and set proxy, I cannot login Gtalk account. The same proxy setting works on Pidgin does not work for Pidgin portable.
And it's more funny that, I can use Pidgin portable to login my yahoo and MSN accounts. The only thing that does not work for Pidgin Portable is Gtalk.
Any suggestion? Thanks!

Same problem on 2.6.3

I'm having this issue on 2.6.3. I'm also behind a corporate firewall and http proxy, and while pidgin mobile has worked fine through it before, since updating to the latest version neither my GTalk nor AIM accounts connect. I skipped a couple of updates, so it's quite possible this was introduced in 2.6.2. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be the problem?
