Skype not remembering my language preferencesbillyMass - October 23, 2009 - 4:23pm
I just downloaded skype portable. I closed skype and re-opened it and it was hebrew again. how can I permanently change to english ? ( categories: )

this seems to be a bug of the skype itself, dont know how it does choose its language first, but once choosen, it refuses to be changed somehow.

As I understand, skype application is reading information regarding interface language from regional and language options\language for non-unicode programs settings in windows. I have changed these settings on my PC to romanian language and when i start skype once again the interface was in romanian (the default start is in russian).

I have an English version of Vista but I use German as input language, so Skype always starts up in German no matter what language I set in Skype...
That is a bit annoying...
